Aimee, Aimee, Aimee!

Aimee Fleck is up next with her project AND an altered Starter System!
Birthday project

As I’ve mentioned before, we’re going to highlight one Monkey’s storage system each month and (obviously by now, I guess!) we’re starting off with Aimee!  Swing on over to her blog and check it out - be warned, though, you’re gonna want to get crafty with your system when you see all the details! :)

It’s still summer, but changes are coming!

Introducing the new color set - the Indian Summer Set!!!

indian summer set

I just love the colors of this set.  Just right to take us from Summer to Fall - and spread it out a bit for those of us that will be longer in getting to Fall!  The colors are similar to the last set, but more muted and deeper, just as they are in nature.  Love it, love it!  And I know your stamps will too.  ;)

Also, we are now offering Tabs in a Neutral Set.  Great for use with the Green Set inserts and great for use with multi-colored inserts from the different color sets.  The Neutral Set includes three colors on the light end of the brown spectrum, kraft, cream, etc.

Don’t forget about the call for Design Monkeys!  The deadline is September 9th, which will be here before we know it, I’m sure.  Love seeing everyone’s work and learning about each one on a more personal level, too!!

I kind of alluded to this earlier, but we’re coming up on our anniversary/birthday at the end of September and are going to have lots of fun!!!  You’re all invited to join us for the Little Monkeys Turns One Celebration.  The official day is September 30th, but there will be lots going on between now and then, too!  I’m so excited to reach this milestone - it still seems a little unreal that we’ve done so much already and, yet, there remains so much on the list to look forward to in the next year(s) to come!  I know I’ll say it again, but thank you all for your support and encouragement to get us to this point!

Fun at the Playground & Tabs, too!

Introducing the new color set - the Playground Set!!!

playground set

I’m really excited about these colors - love the red, orange, yellow, green, blues (2 of them!) and purple! As before, each Playground Set will include a variety of the new colors and a green. This set really gets you in the mood for fun with your stamps, so get ready! The Playground Set has been added to the options in the Shop and we’re ready to start shipping. If you’ve been waiting patiently (or not so patiently! :) ) for the new colors, you’re time has come - so, have some fun!!

I’m also really excited to be able to announce the arrival of tabs for our Store More Stamps line! See this one waving hello? ha! Available in the Green Set, our tabs are ready to help take your stamp storage to the next level of organization.

tab-top

I’ve put this one on the sleeve to be able to change the inserts around and be flexible, but you can use them anywhere you’d like, naturally. The folded tab should stick up about 1/2″ over the top, which give lots of room to write different categories and still be compact. The tabs are scored for easy folding with complete adhesive backing. Tabs that almost stick are annoying so these are made to be secure! As you can see below, the dots move all around the bottom of the tab to keep things from being too uniform.

tab-group

Currently, our Tabs are only available in the Green Set. I’m not sure yet if we will offer them in the new Playground Set, so let me know if you’re interested since that will help with the decision. :)

Each package includes six tabs in a variety of color combinations for $3.99.  For anyone wanting to order a set (or sets!) of Tabs as an
individual order apart from other products, please send an email to susan@storemorestamps.com to let me know so I can work with you on reduced shipping charges.

How will you label your system?  Holidays?  Theme?  Manufacturer?

Can’t forget to mention…the new Playground Set and Tabs are now available in the Shop…ready just for you!  :)

It’s rain, rain, rain here, so while we might not be able to make it to the playground, we still want to have some fun! Post a comment about your favorite playground memories and we’ll draw two names on Sunday night to each receive a package of Playground Set Sleeves w/Inserts & tabs!!

Labels & altering

New pics! I’ve started using a great labeling idea for the system using circle pendants from d. reeves design with some rub-ons, ribbon, eyelets and patterned paper.

alter - pendant label

This ‘alphas’ pendant was made using:
d. reeves design house 1.5″ clear acrylic circle pendant
American Crafts rub-ons
Chatterbox paper
misc eyelets & ribbon
I used my crop-o-dile to punch the holes and set the eyelets, threaded the ribbon through the eyelets and tied in a knot inside the box. Covered the whole thing with mod podge so I wouldn’t have to worry as much about something getting messed up from everyday use. I’m really loving this for labeling my boxes!

I’ve also done some different techniques with adding grommets to the ends for easy transportation and another with a label holder. Both by Making Memories, of course! :) I must say that I love the look of both of these, as well. It’s hard to pick one technique to go with and I guess I don’t necessarily have to choose, but who am I kidding?! Of course I’ll have to stick with just one. ha

As an aside, the boxes are constructed of heavy chipboard and it was lots of work using the grommet tool to get a hole cut through all the layers. The crop-o-dile doesn’t have any trouble, but it’s also a much smaller area to work with. So, the grommets are still awesome, just know in advance that it’s going to take quite a bit of patience and hammering.

And last, but not least, I’ve done some painting and other altering…

I love how this turned out. I started out reluctantly since I really love the green box as is. However, now that it’s done, I’m thinking it’ll stay part of my overall collection pink and all. I think I need more pink around here anyway. :) As you can see, if you’re not a ‘green’ person or it just doesn’t fit in with your other scrapbooking or stamping decor, it’s easy to alter the box so that it does. I’m sure I’ve just scratched the surface of the altering possibilities, so please share what you do with your box, too!!!
