It’s time for new Little Monkeys news!  & that means a new color set, which is always exciting!

First off, with the February release, we also are introducing the Master System!  The Master System includes twelve (12) sleeves w/inserts and a coordinating package of tabs.  Just what you need to get a box full of stamps right off the bat!  The other notable difference is that there is no sample cling sheet in this system.  So, for all of you that just don’t need it, this is for you! 

Now for the color set, or should I say sets?  Yes, that’s right!  With this release, we’ve got TWO new color sets!

Tropical Getaway Set

Punxsutawney Phil might have predicted six more weeks of winter, but we’re ready to starting thinking hot!  I’ve made it known that I’m a warm weather girl, so when I was hiking through the airport all bundled up and came across a group of travelers decked out in shorts and flip flops, I couldn’t think of anything but BEACH BEACH BEACH!
When calm beachy colors combine with sparks of hot tropical colors, you get the Tropical Getaway Set – just right for warm weather and all that beachy fun!

Sweetheart Set

There’s been a chocolate explosion here at Little Monkeys!  As I was planning my chocolate extravaganza for Valentine’s Day, all the chocolatey thoughts went to my head (better there than elsewhere, right? haha!)  So, while I was initially planning the Sweetheart Set to be a mini-set, I couldn’t resist those chocolate feelings and ended up adding a little more to it and making it a full-fledged color set of it’s own.

Currently, this set is only available as an add-on in either the Sleeves w/Inserts or Inserts packages.

We’re off to a good start this morning with my chocolate covered Valentine’s Day plan!  hehe  The boys had heart boxes (the kind with a variety of chocolates) next to their pillows when they woke up this morning.  And we had chocolate chip muffins for breakfast – with EXTRA chocolate chips.    I’ve got strawberries to dip in chocolate, stuff to make the chocolate chip cookie cake and the hot fudge sundae cake.  So, I think we’re set.  I don’t know that I’ll actually do all of it, though, b/c that’s A LOT of chocolate.  But, that’s the plan so it will be interesting to see how far this goes.  I got the impression dh was secretly very excited about all the plans, even if he was going on about too much sweets.

We’re off to basketball!

I’ve been accused of not having much holiday spirit lately – whether it’s Christmas, Halloween or 4th of July.  I’ve always loved decorating for the different holidays and doing sweet things to surprise people.  So, how did this happen?  Me, the non-decorator, holiday downer??  Couldn’t be!!  Well, I do have to admit that the ‘extra’ touches have been taking a back seat to, you know, life.  Our busy, crazy, good life.  Definitely missing the extra zing I love so much, though. 

So, since Valentine’s Day is rapidly approaching, I’ve decided to declare Saturday a CHOCOLATE wonder day!  I’m going to surprise with chocolate all day long!  Only problem is, I could use some help in the idea department.  I happen to love chocolate chip cookie cakes, so I’ll make one of those and maybe even decorate it!  Gasp!  I’ve got some beginnings of ideas for breakfast, but I’d love to hear your suggestions to help me not do the same old thing.  You know, shake things up a bit!

Go Lara!  She’s posted her altered Starter System box on her blog and you’ve got to check it out!  It’s just…WOW!  Here’s your sneak peak!

I love the colors and the black accents really make the colors work together so well.  All the layers (paper, ribbon, embellishments) take the box to a whole new level.  I can hardly imagine the basic green box is under there!

While you’re swinging around on Lara’s blog, be sure to also check out her project using the Bundle Up stamp set!  She’s got all the nitty gritty, which is good b/c I know you’re going to be itching to make your own!

I used this stamp set on a scrapbook layout this weekend and now I’m inspired to use it all over again!  hehehe
