Bundle Up

The package has arrived and the stamps are AWESOME, just as expected! ;) This weekend we’ve been to one birthday party, hosted parties for both of our big boys’ birthdays, and all the family visitors that go with birthday fun – it’s all been great but certainly slowed me down being able to post pics and details. So, without further delay…

We’ve got exciting news!

Exciting STAMP news, that is!  Little Monkeys has teamed up with Studio Calico to produce an exclusive stamp set just you!  If you’re an SC subscriber, you’re already familiar with their style and awesome stamps.  If you’re not a subscriber, be sure to check them out!  I’m so excited about having our first stamp set!  It’s something we’ve been quietly working on and it’s really amazing to see things coming to life.  I’m hoping to have the stamps in my hot little hands in the next day or two, so more news will be coming soon!  Just think – more stamps to store – ha!

In other exciting news…things are TONS better with my mother!  Thank you, thank you for all the prayers and well wishes.  She actually has a rare congenital defect in her diaphragm that she’s lived with all her life that’s just caused a problem now.  It’s something they check for in newborns now, apparently, but not so much 58 years ago.  What she has/had is a Morgagni’s hernia – her intestines moved through a hole in her diaphragm up into her chest.  She’d been sick and in a pretty bad pain for several days before going to the dr, so there was an added concern that the tissue had been lacking oxygen all that time and would no longer be functional, which would mean major surgery to remove dead tissue and re-route things.  Turns out it was a best-case scenario and the surgeon was able to do laproscopic surgery to get everything back into place and close the hole with some sutures.  She’ll have another surgery relatively soon to close the hole permanently, but for the moment, everything’s looking good.  Such a relief!

Family Emergency – Checking In

Just a quick post to let everyone know that I’m out at the moment to be with my mother who went into the hospital yesterday and had emergency surgery this morning. She’s doing well now, but will need follow-up surgery in the next week or two to do the permanent repair needed. If you are waiting to hear from me or waiting for an order to ship, I will be in touch as soon as possible, but it will be tomorrow or Thursday. I am very sorry for the delay. Thank you for your patience as we get things taken care of with her and get back to our ‘regular’ lives.
