Introducing the new color set - the Indian Summer Set!!!

I just love the colors of this set.  Just right to take us from Summer to Fall - and spread it out a bit for those of us that will be longer in getting to Fall!  The colors are similar to the last set, but more muted and deeper, just as they are in nature.  Love it, love it!  And I know your stamps will too. 

Also, we are now offering Tabs in a Neutral Set.  Great for use with the Green Set inserts and great for use with multi-colored inserts from the different color sets.  The Neutral Set includes three colors on the light end of the brown spectrum, kraft, cream, etc.

Don’t forget about the call for Design Monkeys!  The deadline is September 9th, which will be here before we know it, I’m sure.  Love seeing everyone’s work and learning about each one on a more personal level, too!!

I kind of alluded to this earlier, but we’re coming up on our anniversary/birthday at the end of September and are going to have lots of fun!!!  You’re all invited to join us for the Little Monkeys Turns One Celebration.  The official day is September 30th, but there will be lots going on between now and then, too!  I’m so excited to reach this milestone - it still seems a little unreal that we’ve done so much already and, yet, there remains so much on the list to look forward to in the next year(s) to come!  I know I’ll say it again, but thank you all for your support and encouragement to get us to this point!

Little Monkeys is announcing a call for submissions for the Little Monkeys Design Team – the Design Monkeys!

My style is a mix of formal and fun(ky) – from the clothes I wear to the way I wear my hair to the projects I design. I always have a traditional base or starting point with a twist that’s all me thrown in someplace. Stacy and Clinton on What Not to Wear might take issue with the “twist” sometimes, but until I go on the show and get made over, it’s staying. Ha!

Not everyone has the same style, though, so that’s why Little Monkeys needs you! I’m inspired by the tons of projects I find on different message boards and blogs but wouldn’t necessarily think to do on my own. Time to get some new ideas and spread them around to help inspire others with all different styles! We want you to be one of our Design Monkeys!

Send photos of two projects – cards, layouts, altered project, etc. – that highlight your stamping style to dtcall@storemorestamps.com Be sure to include the qualification info below, too! At this time, we can only accept electronic submissions. Submissions featuring Little Monkeys products are certainly welcome, but feel free to use any product you choose! We want to see “you” in your style!!

The deadline for submissions is Tuesday, September 9^th. We will contact the chosen Design Monkeys members in mid-September and announce the full team during our Little Monkeys Turns One Birthday Celebration at the end of September.

Qualifications:

1. Gotta have stamps – you’d think this would be understood, but I don’t want to upset anyone by taking any chances
2. Gotta have your own style & know what it is! Tell me about it, so I don’t misinterpret. It’s taken years for me to define my own style and I’m livin’ it!
3. Gotta have a favorite TV show, movie, or music group (a favorite as in pick one!)
4. Gotta have an online presence – a blog, a message board you frequent, wherever you ‘are’
5. Gotta have fun! No real description needed here. If you’re submitting, you’re qualified!

Include a brief summary of your qualifications with your submissions. One line or a paragraph, it doesn’t matter, just something that helps us get to know you!

Requirements:

We will accept five design team members. This will be a six-month term with 4-5 projects required for each team member (approximately one per month.) Projects will rotate between team members each month.

Benefits:

You will be provided with Little Monkeys products for the projects required, samples of new products before they are released, and a 10% discount on purchases. We want to highlight your creativity, so we also will include a link to your blog, gallery, etc. on our site, as well, if desired.

I’m going to the weekend crop this coming up weekend at Crop-Paper-Scissors. Friday night and all day/night Saturday – woohoo!! Got my pictures printed a week or so ago and starting to go through them already. This is MAJOR planning ahead for me. Usually, I’m printing pics on Thursday night to pick up on my way to the store. ha! This weekend crop is an annual event (one of three weekend crops at our LSS) and I so look forward to it each year. Not sure yet if any of my friends will be able to make it, but I’m excited either way. At the crop in May, I got 23 layouts done, which blows away my last record of 12-13. Don’t know where the magic came from for that crop, but hoping the mojo is still around!! On the other hand, what I was I doing with my time at all those other crops? LOL Wish me luck! I was in the store earlier this week and saw a bunch of new Autumn Leaves stamps. Think they’ll fit nicely with my others.

I might not be able to relate to those of you that are quite a bit colder than we are during the winter, but I’m happy to report that I can easily relate to those of you sweating it out these days.  ha!  I do my best not to complain about the heat since I really do prefer it to the chill of winter, but I won’t shy away from the truth.  It.is.hot.  When the nights aren’t cooling off (like last night it was still 99 degrees at 8:15 PM yikes!), there’s just no relief except lots of time in the water and lots of cold drinks.

Feel at least a little cooler? 

We spend the hot part of the day inside or in the shade as much as possible, even swimming is limited to the morning or evening.  The late night and early morning cool downs around here are for working on orders - gotta use the cooler times of the day the best you can, right?! 

Don’t forget that the new color set will be coming out in just a couple of weeks, so if you’re looking to get any of the Playground Set, time is running short - and so is the supply!  Once they’re out this time, they’re really out.  I’ve done several reorders on this color set, but now it’s time to start thinking about the new colors coming on the 15th.

The week of the 15th is going to be full of fun around here - sneak peeks…news…new color set…
