What a day!

What a race!  This year’s Tour has been great fun to watch.  Seven different leaders so far.  Great day on L’Alpe d’Huez!  Glad Sastre hung in there for the win, but still pulling for Cadel and Christian VandeVelde, too.  Four days left and no clear idea who’s going to win - cra-zy!  :)

New News

Thanks, guys, for playing!  Jo and Mary are both winners in the drawing!  Contact me with your mailing information and I’ll get packages out to you.  Loved seeing the new stuff!

In other fun, new news…went to my stamp club last night and couldn’t believe all the stuff on the Stampin’ Up Retiring list.  I had to stock up on the retiring rub-ons.  Love their rub-ons, so can’t hurt, right?  Holy cow, they’re making LOTS of room for fun, new stuff.  Can’t wait to see the new stuff, can’t wait, can’t wait!!

PEEK-A-BOO

So, I mentioned I wasn’t going to make it to CHA. Add in that it’s been a while since I’ve done a challenge/giveaway on my blog - and I say, let’s have some fun while the others are away!!

Got any sneak peeks you want to share? Anything you’ve heard about and you’re dying to see? Got news on some new releases coming out from companies not going to CHA? The excitement around this time of year is infectious – you want to see more and more and more…and not just stamping related, too. Dying to share a find on Etsy? Bring it on! This is a peek-a-boo game for some hidden treasures waiting to be found.

Post your sneak peek or other new release info (since there are some of us not going but might have new stuff coming out…) here to be entered. I’ll draw next Monday night. I generally base the number of winners on the number of comments, so the more, the merrier for sure! Spread the word about our peek-a-boo game on your blog, message boards, email lists, etc. You never know who’s going to have the scoop on what you’re looking for or didn’t know you needed to see. ha!

Gonna have to change my name to Random

Did I mention we’re on the ‘Tour Schedule’??? Where does the time go? Melanie, I’m so sorry for you to be missing this year’s Tour. We changed our cable service years ago specifically to be able to get Versus, so I know the issues around getting the channels you need, I mean want. For those of you with the option to watch - don’t miss out! The Tour does take over a little, but I’ve been busy with other things, too. It’s not ALL about the Tour. Or, hmmm, is it????

I wanted to be sure to pass on a quick link to one of the stamp sets spotted in the Splitcoast Stampers Product Focus pics - Melissa Muenchinger’s own ‘Just So Hippy’ stamp set!! I love new finds!

Since I’ve had lots of questions - I won’t be going to CHA this time around. I’ve been caught up in trying to make it work and it’s just not going to happen. You’d think I’d figure that out sooner, but I REALLY wanted to go so I kept pushing. Time to let go of the dream and focus on other things - like getting the site updated, Newsletter finished up, etc.

I’ve been busy working on several updates around the site, some behind the scenes and some outward changes here and there - perking things up a bit. If you’ve got helpful suggestions, please pass them along! Sometimes it’s hard to know what’s working and what needs updating when you’re on the inside looking out.

I’m also excited about the beginning of an official Newsletter. Past emails have been more ‘announcement’ in flavor, highlighting the new colors, etc. This will have more news and information, so watch for the first issue to arrive soon. I’ll be sending it out to everyone on our list and also posting it on the site.

And, although it seems like the Playground Set just came out, it’s getting close to the next color release. So, lots going on - just wanted to be sure to check in and say hi!

Thank you, thank you to Alicia for posting pics of your system on Splitcoast! Love seeing all the boxes so full and pretty in a row!!!

Settle in

It’s going to be a while before we find out the winners for the PaperCrafts Stamping Royalty contest.  I got word today that the winners will be released in the Nov/Dec 2008 issue which comes out on newstands in early October.  They’ll post the announcement on the website around the same time.  Oh, the torture!!!

So, settle in and enjoy the rest of Wimbledon, the Tour, the Olympics, beginning of school again, US Open, and the Vuelta (Tour of Spain - the 3rd grand tour in cycling), the beginning of football season, too.  Oh, and don’t forget another color set release in August and the design team call coming soon.  Sounds like plenty to keep us all busy, right?  :)
