Randomness

How many stamps/stamp sets do you have? 1-2 sets? 12-15 sets? 100’s??? How many are out there that you want? This system works for those with only a few stamps and it works for those with many stamps.

I see so many great stamps each day that I can’t even keep track of some of the ones I’d really like to have in my collection. I keep notes about them for the most part, but still the list grows and grows. Not a bad problem to have, though!

The focus for Little Monkeys has always been to get your stamps off the shelves and into your workspace. If you fall into the many stamps category, you’re ultimately going to have some stamps that will need to be put away. This is where the flexibility of the system allows you to organize your stamps in the manner that works best for you and the way you work or think. Organize by manufacturer, by theme, by type, etc. You’ll be able to grab whatever category you need and get tons of stamps at your fingertips.

I will confess that I fall into the many, many stamps/stamp sets category. I don’t know exactly (and don’t think I really want to know!) but its lots and lots. I have acrylic stamps and rubber stamps. I have stamps using cushion, cling, and repositionable glue. I probably have some using double-sided tape, too. I also still have some that are wood mounted. They will be unmounted eventually. For now, though, they just fall into the I haven’t needed them since they’re seasonal category, like Christmas stamps/sets from years past. I’m a sucker for holiday stamps! I guess I could/should sell some, but *gasp!* what a thought! I love the stamps in my collection and storage isn’t an issue with this storage system. I just need to unmount them and add another box to the row and I’m ready to store more stamps!

I guess what I’m really saying is, I’m right there with you! I love my stamps and I love to use them. This system keeps my stamps right in front of me as I work. They’re safely stored, so there’s not a problem with losing a stamp like I’ve done in the past. They’re fun to flip through, too. The hard part now is deciding which stamps to use on my layouts and projects!

I’m working on a layout from our First Day of Summer fun and will share that as soon as it’s done…off to the pool with the boys first, though! :)

More exciting than my scrapbooking, though, is that soon we will be having a Design Team call! I’m really excited about it and can’t wait to get started! We’re getting the details finalized and then we’ll let you know all the nitty-gritty!! Thanks to those of you asking about this possibility - you really helped push it from a ‘wouldn’t that be nice’ idea to a soon-to-be reality!

Another week down for the count

The big boys had Vacation Bible School this week and the closing Family Night was last night.  They really had a blast all week and are sad to see it end.  I think the little fellas will be glad to get their brothers back in the evenings, though.  Ready to get back to the pool!!

First Day of Summer!

It’s the first day of summer – longest day of the year!!!  Around our house, it’s time to celebrate!  Starting around the beginning of December, my husband starts looking forward to this day each year.  Since he’s a mountain biker, he wants the sun to be out as much as possible so he can ride as much as possible.  When the day’s are getting shorter and shorter, so’s the time he can ride.  Oh, he has lights (& plenty of them!) but it’s a totally different ride.  Plus, around here it gets soooo hot in the summer that the only time you can do much outdoors is in the later evening – thus, even more appreciation for the extra sunlight. :)  Tomorrow is the first day of summer in Europe, but you can start celebrating now, too!  hehe  It’s not really sunny here today since we’re having a bit of rain, but it’s still time to let the fun begin!

In celebration of our celebration, I’m giving everyone that orders today, tomorrow & Sunday a summer surprise!  A happy start to a happy Summer!!!

Hello to ‘regular’ life, Goodbye to St. John’s

It’s been really great being here in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada! I’ve had a wonderful time learning about the people, the city and the island in general. Had some good food, done some work, seen the sights. Even more memorable than the multi-colored houses of Jellybean Row, though, was getting to see TWO icebergs in Witless Bay. How cool! (haha) My camera battery is dying so I can’t get my pics uploaded to share them right now. Since I was staying down by the harbor, though, I would say my experience was what a ‘typical’ tourist would want to see. So, all the pics you can find online - that’s what I’ve done and seen. :) Oh, except I didn’t get screeched in - that’s pretty much all I can think of that I missed that I wanted to find out about/see. Don’t want to commit to a certain time since I’m sure my attention will be fully required by the little monkeys at home for a bit, but I’ll share pics as soon as I can!

Heading home tomorrow and shipping the new orders from this week Monday! So, for those of you that ordered - thank you! and for those of you that held off ordering while I was away - bring it on! LOL

Anyone else been to St. John’s? Got pics or stories to share?
