Scrap-A-Faire

Have you been to Scrap-A-Faire this year?  It’s running all through the month of April this time, which is soooo cool!  I’ve taken several digi-scrapbooking classes and really loved the format.  If you visit, be sure to check out our section in the Product Showcase!  While you’re there, give us a vote so we stay close to the top of the list, too.  ;)

Let me know if you’re already participating, taking classes, etc.!  This is a great chance to take classes from some top teachers.  I know Christy Tomlinson has a class.  And Leah Fung.  And the digital class I was talking about by Rhonna Farrer.  And, and, and!  There is a charge for classes, but it’s free to visit and check everything out.  That’s new, so that’s a nice change.  Have fun!

April Showers?

Hope everyone is weathering the storms well. For those of you hardest hit and not yet hit, our thoughts and prayers are with you. This is a crazy batch of storms, to be sure. Please take necessary precautions to be safe.

We had severe weather here last night, but were fairly lucky – only a split tree and some smaller branches scattered through the yard. It did land on our ‘in progress’ screened in back porch and that’s not in such spiffy shape, but WE are fine. It was a bit of a scare since the tree split about 3:30 AM, the timing of which makes anything seem worse than it is, but it was before the thunderstorms reached us so we had time to get to the television to watch for updates on all the warnings in the area. The tornadoes closest to us were about 30 miles away. Too close for comfort. I spent the night on the couch with two boys, but the other two slept through all the commotion!
