Scrappin’ time!

I’ve been scrapping this weekend already and finished up my mini fall album and a general layout about a trip to Providence, RI, for work w/my youngest sister in November.  The background for the layout is all stamped!  I couldn’t find anything I wanted to use to pull everything together and this stamp from Fancy Pants was juuuust right.  :)

Love these new ideas!

Belated Merry Christmas, everyone!  We’ve had a great holiday season at our house.  I can honestly say the boys have played with every. single. present they received.  It’s the same each year, but you’re always on edge for that one present that’s not as big of a hit as the others.  They’re just grateful little fellas that enjoy all their blessings.  Hard to believe sometimes when it’s I want this or that, but they really make you feel good when it counts.  Awww…  hehe  Did you get what you wanted?  If not, are you GOING to get what you wanted?  ;)   I got a new camera and some idea books that I wanted but wasn’t getting for myself, so woohoo!  I also got a compact photo printer that was a complete surprise.  Can’t wait to go to my next crop and purposefully forget to print some pics.  lol  Let us know how you did with your wish list!  I think the copic markers are something I’ll have to hunt down form myself.

Also, Chris just posted on her blog about how she’s using the stamp storage system - check it out here!  I love her idea for the image sheet and that she’s adapted the system to suit her storage needs.  This is really what the system is all about!!!  Taking the idea as a starting point and making it your own.  I’m really loving hearing about how different people are using the basic system.  Share your story, too.  :)

A note about shipping … holiday and otherwise

Getting finished with your holiday shopping? I’m not! lol Once I make it through the two older boys’ birthdays, that’s when I focus on Christmas - at least for them. I do buy other presents ahead of time, but almost anything I buy for the boys ends up being birthday presents if I get it before now. :) So, starting today I’m online and hitting the stores ‘after hours’ when kiddos are asleep. The problem is that it’s starting to get worrisome to order online and know things will arrive in time. Thank goodness we have Monday for deliveries this year! Since shipping is a concern for me, I wanted to give you a quick run-down of my shipping/handling to help in your planning…

If you order before 11:00 AM CST, I do my best to ship your order that day, otherwise it will ship the next day. I ship via USPS primarily. I have found USPS Priority Mail to be the quickest at the best rate, but am definitely willing to work with you on special requests to ship using UPS or FedEx. For orders shipping within the US, please order on or before the 19th (to ship 12/20 latest) for delivery in time for Christmas.

I’ve been making trips to the Post Office every day for the last two weeks and didn’t realize it would be so much fun! I’m getting speedy zipping through the automated system and look forward to sending each new order and tracking it to confirm delivery. An added benefit of getting to share my system with you! :)

More ideas - this time from Diane!

Thanks to Diane for posting pics of how she’s using her system and sending me the link. Be sure to check out her blog. Her idea for putting the inserts for her Making Memories stamps in the back of the box to remind her about her foam stamps is great & one I’m definitely going to put into action with my system. I have a couple of foam stamp sets that I really love that I never think about using since they’re put away.

Send me pics of your system or a link to your blog and I’ll post them, too! I love seeing the different stamps everyone has. There’s always a new set to be found. That’s the point of all this, right? To store more stamps! :)

What fun!

I got to go to the crop this weekend and Debby Schuh was there before teaching classes on Saturday. LOVED the class I took - holiday album. Love that it’s pink, too. hehe The flow of the class was great and I think everyone there learned something new, even ones that have taken classes from her in the past. If you get a chance to take a class from Debby, don’t hesitate - just do it! :) Here’s a link to her pictures from this weekend - Debby Schuh in Waco There are more pictures on the Crop-Paper Scissors site, too.
